After School Fun at the Fells!

This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

We all know that John Milton Hay, who worked for many U.S. Presidents, including Abraham Lincoln, spent summers at this place that he called The Fells in Newbury, New Hampshire, but did you know that this huge place (about 1000 acres!) was a giant outdoor playground for the Hay children? The Hay kids spent hours and hours swimming in the lake, boating, fishing, building tree houses, picnicking on Sunset Hill, visiting Council Rock (where, according to tradition, Indians had once gathered for Powwows). You can experience this special place on Lake Sunapee too! Join us after school for lots of fun hikes and arts and crafts projects, nature exploration, a bit of gardening and more!
